Every year more than 50,000 children are involved in road traffic accidents in Germany – most of them whilst riding their bikes. Therefore, pupils at Dortmund primary schools are being taught the rules of the road and how to react quickly and safely in traffic.

The Dortmund school administration department and the Verkehrswacht Dortmund e.V. (Traffic Watch Dortmund) are once again distributing the workbook Mit der lustigen Ampel zur Radfahr-Prüfung (Cycling proficiency with the jolly traffic light). Thanks to the financial support of Envio and other sponsors, this workbook is available free of charge to all primary schools in Dortmund.
